Multi gold award-winning treatment from Aestheticare - the makers of Genuine Dermaroller
Dermastamp stimulates the skin to regenerate and repair itself naturally and safely creating smoother, brighter, younger, healthier looking skin.
Dermastamp penetrates the skin with thousands of microscopic needle columns, which encourages the skin's natural repair process. As the skin regenerates, new collagen and skin cells are formed and blood supply is enhanced.
In the first weeks following a Dermastamp procedure the skin will normally look brighter and more vibrant. It then takes up to six weeks before visible signs of regeneration and repair are seen. The process continues over the following months providing you with a natural and long lasting enhancement
The Dermastamp is the ideal solution for pitted deep set scars caused by the aftermath of moderate acne/chicken pox etc and is suitable le for all skin types
You might be wondering how Dermastamp differs to the better known Dermaroller?
Both the devices are for a procedure known as 'micro-needling' - breaking the skin's surface with tiny pinpricks to boost healing, regeneration and collagen production.
It's important to understand that the two treatments are not 'competitors'. In fact, both micro-needling devices are provided by Aestheticare in the UK, but they have differing features and benefits for different uses in skin treatment.
The choice is more about the area and condition being treated and the results that want to be achieved:
Dermastamp
Features & Benefits:
- smaller treatment head, easier to manoeuvre and use for focused treatments
- needles penetrate the skin vertically, minimising epidermal damage
- needles can pass through scar tissue more easily
- electronic device
- adjustable depth and speed through machine settings
Genuine Dermaroller
Features & Benefits:
- covers a larger area more efficiently and evenly, less suitable for detail work
- rollering action means slanted needle entry
- less effective on scar tissue compared to Dermastamp
- manual device
- depth adjusted using a different tool
- speed adjusted via user
What happens during treatment?
A trained DOCTOR will carry out the procedure. The procedure creates thousands of micro medical needle columns into your skin, each one penetrating into the dermis layer. These columns will stimulate the skin, encouraging it to regenerate and repair itself.
Thanks to the precision engineering and fine-tuned controls our doctors can accurately control the treatment intensity throughout the procedure. This means they can adjust the needle depth and speed depending on the area that they're treating and the particular condition of that area of skin.
A high quality hyaluronic acid serum applied to skin during treatment allows the needle tip to move smoothly over the surface of your skin.
Will it hurt?
While the Dermastamp procedure produces some discomfort, your practitioner will apply a topical anaesthetic to the treatment area an hour before treatment. This has a temporary numbing effect on the skin. A high quality hyaluronic acid serum will allow the needle tip to move smoothly over the surface of your skin to aid comfort.
Are there any side effects?
Immediately after the procedure you will look as though you have moderate sunburn and your skin may feel warmer and tighter than usual. This normally starts to subside after one to two hours and will return to normal within 24 to 36 hours. (Exceptionally there may be some redness for up to 4 days)
How long does treatment take?
60 minutes for the anaesthetic cream to work and approximately 20 minutes for the treatment depending on the extent of the area.
How many treatments will I need?
We recommend a minimum of three procedures approximately four weeks apart. However, some skin conditions may require more treatments to achieve the desired results.
When will I see results?
Following the procedure your skin will start to naturally regenerate and repair itself, working below the surface in the dermis. This will take some time as new collagen is formed, new skin cells are generated and the dermis layer is rejuvenated. It can take up to six weeks before you see signs of this regeneration and repair, although the process will continue to work over the following months, leaving you with natural, long lasting results.
When can I resume normal activities?
Your skin should not feel sore or painful, so it is a matter of how quickly the redness subsides and how much that bothers you. You can expect to be back to normal within 24-48 hours but some reactions can take up to 4 days to completely vanish. Most people have the treatment done on a Friday allowing the weekend for recovery
Can I wear make-up after treatment?
It is not advisable to wear make-up for at least 12 hours after treatment. You may wear specialist mineral make-up but please take advice from your practitioner as to a suitable brand.
How do I take care of my skin after treatment?
We also strongly advise that you use broad spectrum high-level photo protection after the procedure. You should continue to apply this on a daily basis during the treatment course, even in the winter or on cloudy days.
